AIB Certifications are a great way to ensure the safety of end consumers, show accountability, and strengthen consumer trust.
Three Hermann Warehouses received new AIB Superior Ratings after this year’s audit:
- New Castle, DE – 965
- Rising Sun Road, NJ – 950
- Bordentown-Hedding Road, NJ – 930
This marks the second year that all three facilities have exceeded AIB’s passing score of 700.
These scores allow us to partner with organizations that ship and store food-grade products, which must be stored in clean, quality-controlled warehouses. “Passing score is above a 700, above a 900 is exceptional. Having a good score shows the standard to which we hold our warehouses currently,” said Jackie Kopelakis, Safety Director at Hermann Services.
During inspections, companies are evaluated in five categories: operational methods and personnel practices, maintenance for food safety, cleaning practices, integrated pest management, and adequacy of prerequisite and food safety programs. By achieving superior ratings, we can continue to partner with organizations that ship and store food-grade products, since they require clean and quality-controlled warehouses.
“We are proud our warehouse received a superior AIB rating for 2023. Setting and maintaining quality practices starts with our people,” said Jennifer Berglund, Warehouse Manager for our Delaware warehouse.
