Dwight Browne
Dwight has worked with Hermann Services for over 17 years. As an Inventory Specialist, he plays a critical role in keeping track of products in the warehouse and ensuring our warehouse management system is up to date. “Maintaining accurate inventory is crucial for timely order fulfillment,” Dwight explains. “It’s incredibly rewarding to know that my work directly contributes to meeting customer needs.”
“Dwight has been working with me in various roles since coming aboard with Hermann Warehouse in 2007,” said Jim Capra, Warehouse Manager for our Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, office. “Currently, he communicates with our customers and operates our motor truck scale. He is a valuable member of our team, and his steady presence keeps us on course.” This steady presence and dedication are invaluable to the company’s success.
Even before Hermann, Dwight has been in the warehousing industry for quite some time. “My first job was in warehousing and logistics,” he recalls. “It was a job where I was never bored, and I was always moving around. I enjoy working with a team to get the task done.”
Outside of work, Dwight enjoys spending quality time with his family. Dwight finds inspiration in the quote, “My mind is strong, so I will stay focused.” He believes this quote emphasizes the importance of maintaining mental focus and determination to achieve one’s goals.
Shanita Barker
Shanita is a Payroll Manager for our corporate office in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, and she started working at Hermann as a temporary employee and became a permanent employee over eight years ago. On top of her payroll responsibilities, she helps our Human Resources and Accounting teams, demonstrating her dedication to supporting her colleagues. One of her favorite parts of her job is helping people and ensuring they get all the information they need. “Whether it’s reports, help with ADP, or benefits, I am happy to be able to help!” This commitment to providing exceptional support perfectly aligns with our company values.
“Shanita takes her work very seriously and is a perfectionist,” said Marc Chiarello, Director of Human Resources and Shanita’s manager. “She is mature, responsible, and proactive. Shanita knows what needs to be done and that she has my support should there be anything that she needs.”
Shanita was drawn to working in the logistics industry because she felt it would be an interesting field to learn and grow in. “Majority of the males in my family are truck drivers, and I knew I didn’t want to be a truck driver,” she said.
One of Shanita’s guiding principles is the quote, “Let go and let god.” She explains, “sometimes we let things take a toll on us, and some of those things we do not have control of.” Outside of work, Shanita enjoys traveling the world. Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Mexico, and Puerto Rico are just a few of the places she’s traveled to, but her favorite destination so far has been Dubai.
Gary McGinn
Gary has been a driver for Hermann Services since October 2014. When asked to describe his role, his answer was simple, “I pick up and deliver loads, sometimes two to three, I go where they need me.” Gary started his career in warehousing, but very quickly realized he was better suited for truck driving. “I couldn’t be in a warehouse anymore, I didn’t like being in the same spot all the time,” he said. “Plus, the scenery is much better in trucking,” he added with a chuckle.
Gary’s desire for a dynamic and engaging role has translated into his exceptional performance as a driver. “He is always on time where and when we need him,” said Gary’s Driver Manager, Chris DeBellis. “He is very reliable and always has Hermann’s best interests in mind. We appreciate everything that he does for Hermann.”
With ten years of service under his belt, Gary is enthusiastic about his future with Hermann Services. “The equipment is new, so you don’t break down as much, which saves time since road service can take a while,” he explains. Beyond our young, well-maintained fleet, Gary also values the company culture. “I enjoy the company parties and picnics,” he said. “They even give you random gifts that you wouldn’t expect. They don’t have to do all that, but they do, and it’s nice.”
Gary’s passion for driving extends beyond his personal life. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games about driving. “I feel comfortable,” he says, “people think it’s funny that I drive for a living and still like games like that.”
Angel Carrion
Angel, our Regional Manager of Transportation and Warehousing in Houston, Texas, has been a valuable member of the Hermann Services team for the past two years. He thrives in the dynamic environment of his role, interacting with colleagues across the organization. “Each day brings something new,” he explains, “I’m fortunate to work with such a dedicated group of individuals here in Houston. Their passion and collaboration make it incredibly rewarding to serve as their manager. It’s truly fulfilling to be a part of such a great team, where every day presents an opportunity for success and growth.”
His collaborative and results-oriented approach has translated into successes for Angel and the team in Houston. “Since Angel has joined our team in Houston, he has shown nothing but success, said Karen Huffman, Vice President of Administration. “His drive for customer relations and strategic solutions are like no other. Angel always strives to go above and beyond for our clients. We are proud to have Angel on our team and running Houston!”
Angel’s passion for the transportation and warehousing industry stems from his family legacy. Following in his father’s footsteps, Angel has been immersed in the industry from a young age. He also honored his father by serving in the United States Marines. “My father, a remarkable role model, has been in this industry for many years, and the lessons he’s shared with me have been invaluable in shaping my journey. His guidance and dedication have played a key role in helping me get to where I am today,” said Angel.
Angel’s greatest accomplishment is raising his son. “Not only has he followed the family tradition by becoming a United States Marine,” Angel remarked with pride, “but he’s also grown into an exceptional man. His character, integrity, and determination fill me with immense pride, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the person he’s become.“
In his spare time, Angel cherishes spending quality time with his family. “Whether we’re sharing a meal, enjoying outdoor activities, or simply relaxing together,” he says, “those moments are the ones I treasure the most.” These moments, filled with genuine connection, remind him, “family is everything and every chance to be with them is a reminder of what truly matters.”
