Celebrating National Truck Driver Awareness Week!

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is a week set aside in September to celebrate the 3.5 million truck drivers across the United States who help support the supply chain, our daily lives, and the economy. This year it was celebrated from the 15^th to the 21^st. While we regularly host driver appreciation events for our incredible and dedicated truck drivers, such as attending baseball games and hosting lunches, we put a little extra recognition into this month’s nationwide celebration. During the past week, Hermann Services honored our amazing drivers with special gifts, giveaways, recognition, and more!

Hermann Transportation has many hard-working drivers across the northeast and southwest who are always willing to go above and beyond to help our customers! “There is no ‘I’ in team,” said Alicia Render, Office Manager for our Rising Sun Road, NJ warehouse. “Our Hermann Drivers are always happy to help. Thank you for all that you do!”

One such driver is Rob Chenard. “Rob is always ready to come to work and always has a smile on his face,” said Richie Hermann, Customer Service Representative for our Rising Sun Road, NJ warehouse. Rob is just one of the many Hermann drivers who work tirelessly to keep the supply chain running smoothly.

Kellyn Jibaja, Assistant Warehouse Manager at our Blackhorse Lane, NJ warehouse, echoes this sentiment, saying, “The words ‘admiration’ and ‘respect’ are too short to describe how phenomenal these drivers are. Kudos to Mike Parham and Larry Lawrence as they have a smile on their face when they come to Blackhorse. They are respectful, polite, and overall professional!”

Lisa Burke, Warehouse Customer Service Representative for our corporate facility, also recognizes the vital role of truck drivers. “If it were not for truck drivers, our economy would be at a standstill as they deliver goods throughout our country. Our truck drivers are our eyes, ears, and extended representative of our business. They build relationships with our customers and have a positive impact on our current and future business,” she said.

For drivers like Steven Carolina, building relationships with customers is the most rewarding part of the job. “I’ve been here for a minute so whether it’s an old customer or new, creating a relationship with the customer is top-notch,” he remarked. “I like doing that cause they get to know me day by day and it’s almost like I work for them when I actually work for Hermann.” Like many of our drivers, Steven’s dedication to customer service has earned him a reputation for reliability. “He always helps me if I need trailers moved,” says Hector Comulado, Warehouse Manager of our Bordentown-Hedding Road, NJ warehouse. “One of our clients requests Steven every week because of his service.” This dedication to customer service is what sets Hermann Transportation apart.

This week, and every week, Hermann Services is grateful for everything our drivers do for us and our customers. There’s so much more we could say about all our dedicated drivers! We can’t thank them enough for their tireless work in keeping the supply chain, and the world, running smoothly!
