Employee Spotlight: Jennifer Berglund-Sayers

Jennifer Berglund-Sayers began working at Hermann in November of 1999, and she first entered the industry when she was twenty-one years old when her father had an opening in his Wilmington, DE, warehouse. Today she’s the manager of our Delaware warehouse.

“Being the first woman warehouse manager is something I’m very proud of. I could not have done it without the support and leadership of Jeff Hermann, Chuck Capra, and my late father Dave Berglund,” says Jennifer.

“For over 15 years I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jennifer and seeing firsthand Jennifer grow and evolve into a passionate, charismatic, trustworthy, committed, strong and compassionate leader,” says Jeff Hermann, President and CEO. “Year after year, Jennifer has shown her dedication to Hermann, her team, and customers by placing others first and creating a safe, positive, and rewarding work environment. In a male dominated industry, we are fortunate and lucky to have Jennifer, a passionate woman, mother, and wife on our team setting the course to achieve tremendous success. She’s a true role model for young, aspiring women who, one day, dream of becoming future leaders. When asked what her favorite memory of working at Hermann has been, Jennifer said, “My favorite memory at Hermann has been getting to know and working with my “Pop”, Dave Berglund. We shared over 15 years of work life challenges, and success, making him my dearest friend. He is deeply missed.”

Outside of work, Jennifer has three children who keep her very busy with events such as gymnastics and drama club! “I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love my people,” she remarked. When she has time to herself, Jennifer likes to shoot pool and play Texas Hold ’em.

When asked to describe Hermann Services in three words, Jennifer said: Welcoming, Committed, and Happy.

Perhaps we are those things because of Jennifer! Anyone who meets her immediately experiences her welcoming and happy nature. As a member of the Hermann events committee, Jennifer is always excited to plan events and share great ideas to energize her work environment. And without a doubt, Jennifer is committed to making her warehouse great, supporting and recognizing her employees, and bringing her best self to every day, meeting, and event.
