Charley O’Neill
Charley has been working with Hermann Services since 1986 as an IT Manager. However, Charley didn’t get his start with us in IT. “Some of the other long-time employees may know this, but I have a pretty good background operating forklift equipment, loading and unloading both trucks and railcars.” He started at our Clyde Road warehouse, but his experience doesn’t end there, “I have also used box clamps, roll clamps, slipsheet push-pulls, and drum grabbers.”
Luisa Hermann, Chief Financial Officer, has had the pleasure of working with Charley throughout his time with the company. “Charley has done a fantastic job at strengthening our IT infrastructure and continues to focus on building the team and tools that support and monitor our technology. Charley and his team are always working behind the scenes to make sure our IT systems are functioning properly so that Hermann can continue to provide our customers with excellent service.”
One of Charley’s favorite things to do outside of work nowadays is, “horsing around with my two grandchildren,” he said. He also enjoys “working out before work every day and getting to the Jersey Shore throughout the summer.” When asked about his superpower of choice, Charley said he would choose, “Invisibility. That way I could always pull off an Irish goodbye!”
Dracy Hyman
Dracy began working at Hermann Services in 2015 as a Temp, and now she is our Compliance and Training Manager. “Dracy has done an excellent job in being the main POC [point of contact] for all McLeod-related issues,” said Luisa Hermann, Chief Financial Officer. “We are coming up on our 2-year anniversary with the new TMS and Dracy did an amazing job stepping into this role to help manage the open projects, manage ticket requests, and help all users with training and any issues that arise, day or night!”
If Dracy could have any superpower, it would be time traveling. “I would love the ability to go back in time to visit iconic moments in history. I would also enjoy the ability to learn from family members I never had the chance to meet.” She finds value in being able to do research before making a decision, an example of this is the training program she developed based on her previous work experience. “I am working on developing my superpower by using experience from my past and using it in my present, as a result, we have employees who are trained to perform their job in an effective manner.”
Outside of work, Dracy enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys history, reading, crocheting, and traveling to other countries, and learning about local cultures.
