Hermann Services supports its community through National Night Out

This year’s National Night Out event takes place on Tuesday, August 13th, at Rowland Park in South Brunswick, and Hermann Services is excited to attend again!

This annual, nationwide event hosted by local police departments, is a community outreach program to help promote safety within the community and foster positive connections with police and first responders.

Last year’s event in South Brunswick, NJ, was a great success, and a record-breaking 8,200 people attended! The monumental community turnout and support from local businesses and organizations earned South Brunswick first place out of all the nation’s celebrations. The Hermann tent showcased a tractor and one of our wrapped trailers, a magician, and fun branded giveaways like sunglasses, fidget spinners, and golf stress balls.

This event was also a fantastic opportunity to connect with local businesses and community members. Afua Adjekum, Assistant Controller, who volunteered at the event, recounted her experience. “Working as a volunteer last year was such a rewarding experience!” said Afua. “It was an honor representing and talking about Hermann and the services we offer as a company. Meeting new people, getting compliments about Hermann, and getting the Nomad pizza truck, plus we had some really cool gifts – I still wear my sunglasses!”

Recruiting Manager Kelly Baureko, who was also a volunteer at the 2023 event, perfectly captures the enthusiasm she felt: “National Night Out with Hermann last year was so much fun! The evening was perfect, with fantastic weather and a wonderful atmosphere. We had a great time meeting and greeting the residents of South Brunswick. It was a pleasure to showcase our truck and connect with the community on a personal level. The event was incredibly enjoyable, and I can’t wait to do it again this year!”

Building on last year’s experience, we’re excited to return to support the 2024 National Night Out event. We plan to bring a Nomad pizza truck, and several other new goodies to hand out at our tent. Come say hi and celebrate community partnerships with us!
