February Employee Spotlights

It’s time for another employee spotlight! This February, we’re celebrating four outstanding staff members:

Helen Rinkens

Helen Rinkens is an Accounts Payable Manager for our Monmouth Junction office and she’s been with us since December 2016. In her daily job, she manages the review process for the company’s financial payments, invoices, and payment approvals.

“Helen is an integral part of the Accounting Team,” said Luisa Hermann, Chief Financial Officer. “She runs a tight ship in the AP department to ensure that we are paying our vendors accurately and on time. Attention to detail, multitasking, and strong problem-solving skills are Helen’s superpowers!”

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Helen said, “teaching and explaining tasks, and of course saying “checks in the mail!” Her favorite memory with Hermann Services so far has been the grand re-opening of our corporate office in October of 2022.

Outside of work, Helen loves hanging out with friends and family, going to the beach, sitting by the pool, or any activity that gives her the chance to enjoy the outdoors.

Tiffany Lambert

Tiffany Lambert is a Customer Service Representative for our Bordentown-Hedding Road warehouse, and she’s been with us since October 2022.

In her role, Tiffany enjoys her work environment as well as, “greeting the team each morning with smiles all around, it’s always a fresh start to the day ahead.” She also enjoys providing a customer-centric experience by, “interacting with clients and logistics personnel, and building friendly associations.”

Tiffany started as a forklift operator for our Rising Sun Road warehouse before she became a Customer Service Representative for our Bordentown-Hedding Road warehouse. Her goal was to further advance her career by learning other aspects of the company. “Since becoming a CSR, she has grown her knowledge in warehousing beyond the physical warehouse floor,” said Karen Huffman, Director of Administration. “Having an understanding of the physical labors of warehousing work benefits the office position with customer product knowledge. She has grown tremendously from warehouse to office and is a valuable team member of the Hermann force.”

Tiffany has a couple of different memories she enjoys with her coworkers, like lunches held to celebrate holidays and events going on in their lives. “Each of us bringing food and coming together for our break to eat and laugh. It always feels so wholesome,” she recounted. Another memory she can’t forget about was receiving the ‘Rising Star Award’ at our 2023 Holiday Party. “It showed me that I have a lot of support and my coworkers are as proud of me as I am proud of myself,” said Tiffany.

Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her daughter, taking pictures, and “bothering family and friends as often as possible.”

Joe Jones

Joe Jones has been a driver for our Northeast region since November 2018, and in February 2023 Joe became a driver mentor as well. As a driver mentor, Joe has had the opportunity to work with newer drivers at Hermann Transportation and ensure that they understand the company’s policies and procedures, in addition to feeling welcome at the company.

His favorite part of his role is, “being a role model, a team player, being helpful to my driver managers, developing rapport with our customers, and most of all being a mentor. I’m more involved with getting the new drivers acclimated to our systems.”

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Joe for more than five years,” said Driver Manager, Mike Horvath. “He exemplifies what it is to be a great driver. Joe, without instruction or request, goes above and beyond to make sure that the customer and Hermann are protected and receiving proper care. He’s a fantastic mentor for other drivers, truly helping with his heart and sharing his knowledge for team betterment.”

When asked about his favorite memory at Hermann Services he said, “When I was chosen to participate in Wreaths Across America. I really appreciated the opportunity Hermann gave me, what a great experience, being a retired Army Aviation Veteran, it ranked number one being a company driver, I would certainly do it again.”

Outside of work, Joe enjoys, “physical fitness training, spending time with my wife Lisa, traveling, sporting events, and hosting our family reunion every year.”

Byata Wilder

Byata Wilder has been a driver for Hermann for a year and a half. His favorite part of his role is, “being a driver mentor and being able to teach people.” His driver manager, Anthony Cennamo recommended Byata become a driver mentor, “because of his willingness to help his fellow drivers and his commitment to seeing them succeed.”

His favorite memories include the 2023 Holiday Party and, “customers calling to compliment me and say what a great job I’m doing; I’ve never had a job like that.” At Hermann Services, we make sure all our customers know that they can submit compliments if they find any of our staff doing exceptional work, and customers where Byata delivers have written in with several about his great work ethic and attitude.

Outside of work, Byata enjoys cooking and baking, noting that, “I spent three years in culinary school, so I cook pretty good.”
